If your having a new knee, knee replacement or knee arthroplasty then there are aids and equipment which will help your recovery rehabilitation and return to full activity. We list the useful equipment which you may find helpful.
Once you leave hospital you will need an elastic sleeve once the bandages are removed. Crutches with an ergonomic handle are much more comfortable than those usually provided. At home non slip mats are essential particularly in the bathroom for showering or bathing. Grab rails are useful and are available as suction or screw fixed. TED stocking are more comfortable below knee and an applicator makes pulling them on and off much easier. Essential exercise equipment includes exercise bands progressing to pedal cycle and stepper machines. A cold pack is useful after exercise. As things progress a folding walking stick may be useful.
